Sophie lives in York, England with her husband and two daughters. After studying Psychology at university, she got stuck doing admin jobs she hated for too many years. Now a stay-at-home mum and writer, she’s much happier.

As well as writing, she loves reading, video games and board games. Oh, and chocolate, so much chocolate. She hates the miscommunication trope and forced third-act break ups. Due to having aphantasia, heavy descriptions and excessive world building do little for her – give her witty banter and character driven storytelling any day.

It took her far too long to realise that the romance was her favourite part of any story. Now, romance and romantasy are her go to genres, closely followed by dystopian literature to keep her balanced (pessimistic). A happily ever after is a must (unless the world is so dark it would make no sense).

It was never the goal to self-publish. But when no one will take a chance on a series from a new author, in a genre that is predominantly standalone novels, sometimes you have to take a chance on yourself.
